There is no delay today. It will be 90-degree rule.
The Course restrooms are closed due to an irrigation problem.
It's that time of the year when the warmer weather returns, and the grass starts to green up from dormancy. So far, the course is very clean from the fall pre-emergence and all the post-emergence we have applied to combat the winter weeds. Once the fairways, tees, and roughs begin to green up, we will mow the dead grass out and blow off. This will help the turf become the playing condition you are looking for come together much faster. Once the greens really begin to grow, you will notice a quick slow-down. When the greens get to where I want them health wise, we will begin to spray our growth regulator to get the smoothness and speeds where we want them. The greens may not be a quick as they were this winter, because I do not want to lose pin placements from the difficulty of the greens being too fast. Anthony, Joe, and I are looking forward to this upcoming season to see what we can accomplish together.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO REPAIR YOUR BALL MARKS AND RAKE YOUR BUNKER SHOTS.
The pump station has been repaired. When we pressurized the system, it revealed that we have repairs on the course to make. Hopefully over the next couple of days the problems will be repaired and we can open the restrooms. I think sometime next week, the restrooms will be open for the remainder of the season, unless we get a late Spring freeze. Sorry for any inconvenience.
On March 12th, we will be applying a slow-release fertilizer coated with a crabgrass/goosegrass pre-emergence using a big spreader truck.
In the next couple of weeks, we will be replacing 5 sections of net at the back of the range.
I will have the Course Conditions updated by 8:00 each morning.
